To be honest, though, it's an achievement just to have got a version that I'm happy to use; and now I can say honestly that I've helped make an actual recorded song. I'd also like to say cheers to Tom Phillips for staying around for several hours to record it and not getting visibly annoyed at our impromptu Punjabi MC jams.

Now then, I've booked cameras for the video for next Friday. All that remains before filming is agreeing with all the people in the video when we're doing everything, and sorting out something in the way of a coloured filter for the lighting. At the moment I'm seriously considering a blue shirt or my German folder.
Oh yeah, at the moment I think the band name on the video is going to be Iwazaru. Not only is it the name of a character from the completely insane videogame Killer7, it's also the Japanese for "Speak No Evil", which I think goes quite well with the song's instrumental nature. What does everyone else think?

FANTASTIC! - You are officially the first Thurston Community College Media Studies student to write and record your own song for your music video. Highly impressive. OK, I haven't heard it yet but I'm sure it's brilliant. :) Especially if it has an impromtu Punjabi MC break in the middle of it (not the Knight Rider theme sampled one is it?) Good on you giving 'much repeck' to Mr. Philips, deserved and appreciated I'm sure. Thanks Tom.
As for the blue filter - how about sourcing some blue cellophane to use as a gel to tape over your lamp/light source? German folder sounds like a excellent contingency plan(!?)
Iwazaru ("Master, We're in a tight spot") is a great name and I'm sure the Japanophile PaulC would approve. Did you play Killer7 on Gamecube or PS2? Shinji Mikami has produced some pretty visually interesting games alright. The first Resident Evil was a horror game classic. (oops, Mr. M nerd alert)
The Japanese translation works perfectly too.
"In the name of Harman..." use his name. Just don't put the band in his costume.
Well done Mr. of Rose and good luck with the shooting.
I played the PS2 one- I wanted to bring it in to school to show people, but that dream had to be put away. I don't think I'll ever entirely understand the plot, but it was definitely one of the most interesting (read: disturbing) games I've played.
Also, I really wish we had thought of incorporating the Punjabi MC break now, as opposed to the solo bass break we found ourselves doing (didn't plan it, it just happened). Maybe some day...
